Above is one of my spatial poems about the history of Berkley, MA. Our town has a center called the “Common.” It is a special place that has for generations served as the meeting point of our community. The Historical Society, Town Hall, Public Library, and Fire/Police Department are around the common. There’s a playground, basketball court, and open space for festivals and celebrations. For a quiet community, this is the most likely place where things happen.
