Along the Esplanade

A poem in tribute of my favorite days in Boston. I loved walking everyday along the river. Starting from MIT on Mass Ave going across the river. The view on Mass Ave bridge was always breathtaking, as you cross over from Cambridge to Boston. Make a left onto the Esplanade and take any meandering path eastward until you end up on the dock. The sounds of occasional honking of geese, and the water sloshing against the docs when a boat passes by greet you.I usually pass some time gazing at the beautiful scene of rowers and sailboats against the backdrop of MIT. On a nice warm day you’ll hear the commotion of people stopping by for pictures or their own recreation. Sometimes canoes and paddleboards dock here. On the freezing cold days, you can hear the musical tinkles of the water cracking ice. It’s a lovely piece of quiet in a bustling city.
