Graphics

Wraith
Someone saw these and said, "I would like to summon hundreds of them!!" I was mighty pleased.

Serpent
My first submission. The response was silence, except for one dismissal from some self-appointed Minister for Tibian Style: "Nice, but that's just not Tibia."

Helmet
Ages ago, some budding artist posted some fairly flat helmets on the board. I spent two hours criticising them (encouragingly) and even edited them to illustrate my points. I made it abundantly clear that they were his images and I was only altering them for the purpose of explanation.

Silly me, I expected he might be grateful. Instead, the toasterhead pitched a fit because I edited his items.

Fortunately, Zmaster and some other folks let him know what was what and generally made me feel better about the whole mess. I then made these helmets to show that I didn't need to edit his two-dimensional wonders to get by.

Water Weird
Unfinished, I know. One of the first "choose your own adventure" books depicted a water weird rising from a well in a wild splash. Based upon this 10-year old memory, I sketched this.

Elements of the above image are copyright CipSoft.

The hell is this?
Good question. There was a time when many folks were fruitlessly submitting new sprites for Tibia. I sensed CIP was busy, and so I wrote a program that would "unpack" tibia.spr, allow you to swap existing graphics with graphics of your own, and then "repack" tibia.spr again.

I had such plans. I was going to collect all the decent submissions and include them in a 'new and improved' tibia.spr, which I would then distribute. What happened? I dunno. I'm kind of a slacker.

Anyways, the above is an unpacked portion of the .spr file. A version 6.something .spr file. The recent version of Tibia has a different storage format, but I understand (more or less) how that works, too.

Yay for laziness.
