Comment: This post was surprisingly well received by loads of folks,
and it's probably the only one you'll read while you're here. Sadly, I cannot find part 2 on my old machine, and the old forum is long gone. If anyone had the foresight to save a copy, I'd be psyched. I remember something about a massacre at a dog track, making mayonnaise-jar firebombs out of faculty restroom hand soap and sunoco gasoline, and a VW amulet. Ahh well. Enjoy this bit, at least. :D |

Does anyone know how I can calculate what level I am? I whacked a bunch of rats out behind a burned-down Chinese restaurant. I was first equipped with a 2x4 that looked like it was once used to stir concrete. This trusty block of wood also had a few nails protruding from the business end. Pretty good as two-handed weapons go, but I kept getting bitten by the more aggressive rodents, so I traded up for a ballpeen hammer and a shield made from an old Samsonite suitcase. I have found my neighbor's garden pond to be an excellent hunting ground. I figure goldfish must be good for experience because they are *very* hard to hit and never provide loot. (Not that the rats ever gave me any cheese or GP!) Oh, and a bonus! Hunting goldfish with a hammer gets you club and fishing advances! So, I'm thinking of hunting some rots! Even though I'm probably only level 4 or 5, I have a whole six-pack of this ginseng tea beverage which the lady at the 7-eleven counter assured me was life fluid. Plus, I've made my own fire sword using a broken lawnmower blade and some isopropyl alcohol. Anyone know where I can find some rots? New Jersey strikes me as a pretty good place to start. Happy Adventuring! Khwaj |
