Scary Jim navy and white pencil on neutral paper 2.28.2000 This is an unfinished self-portrait sketched using the bathroom mirror. As this is the first pass, I have only drawn the strongest lights and darks, resulting in the high contrast you see. What's more, the primary light source was atop the mirror, shining down at a steep angle. My girlfriend refers to the overall effect as "Scary Jim."
